Welcome to Downtown Los Angeles

Where to Stay in Downtown LA

Downtown LA has gone through a transformation in recent years, with tons of new construction and exciting new hotels. There is a lot to see these days, below is a list of our favorite stays:

#1: J.W. Marriott

$$$$

JW Marriott at LA Live is a luxurious hotel in the heart of LA Live, only steps away from the LA Convention Center, Crypto Arena, Microsoft Theater, and more. The hotel is perfect for both business and leisure, and offers modern rooms with amazing views of the LA Basin.

#2: Ritz-Carlton

$$$$

The Ritz-Carlton at LA Live is actually part of the broader development that also contains our #1, the JW Marriott. The Ritz was not our number 1 due to our experience not being as great as other Ritz properties, but it’s still one of the best hotels in Downtown Los Angeles. The Ritz is a true 5-star luxury hotel downtown, and you really can’t go wrong.

#3 Intercontinental

$$$$

Sitting inside the tallest building west of the Mississippi, be amazed as you enter the Intercontinental hotel on the 70th floor sky lobby - a truly breathtaking experience. Featuring 889 modern guest rooms with views of the city, this hotel is one of our favorites since opening just a few years ago. Don’t forget to head upstairs for drinks at the outdoor bar, the tallest open-air bar in the Western Hemisphere!

#4: ACE Hotel LA

$$$

ACE Hotel Downtown Los Angeles opened in early 2014 as one of the first modern boutique hotels in the city in a while, and it has been a solid option ever since. The ACE has great amenities, pool parties, and epic views of the surrounding skyscrapers. Oh, and the hotel staff is great too.

#5: Hotel Indigo

$$$

A beautiful modern hotel that opened just a few years ago, Hotel Indigo is a comfortable stay in a good location, just a few blocks from popular LA destinations, including LA Live. Take advantage of the numerous amenities and dining onsite, as well as the amazing views of the City.

#6: Omni Los Angeles

$$$

The Omni Los Angeles sits at the top of historic Bunker Hill in the heart of Downtown’s financial district. The hotel features two onsite restaurants, an outdoor heated pool, and all of the rooms are comfortable and feature modern marbled bathrooms. The Omni is perfect mostly for couples and business professionals, although families will still enjoy the property as well.
