Just 10 minutes from the town of Truckee, the Northstar California Resort is a family-friendly luxury hotel sitting on top of shops, restaurants, and an ice skating rink. The hotel itself is comfortable, spacious, with views of the surrounding area. Onsite, you’ll find pools, a spa, tennis courts, a video arcade, and a fitness center. They also have an adults-only clubhouse.

Frequented by celebrities, and home to exclusive VIP events, Edgewood Resort is Tahoe’s only lakefront golf resort, home to the American Century Celebrity Championship. With a massive beachfront, amazing pool, spectacular views, and 5-star accommodations, it’s easy to see why the Edgewood is tied for #1.
#2 The Ritz-Carlton

The Ritz is a year-round destination with winter and summer activities, beautiful views, luxury accommodations, and contains 23 penthouse residences. Located mid-mountain, the resort is the perfect location for both summer and winter activities with ski-in, ski-out access to the mountain and lifts.

An amazing resort unlike any other with amazing views, luxury amenities, and easy access to Squaw Valley Ski Resort. Operated within Hyatt’s luxury line, the resort is a fan favorite among travelers to the area, and has onsite dining, spa services, comfortable rooms, and custom furnishings throughout.

Just steps away from Heavenly’s ski gondola, the resort offers spacious residences and rooms with onsite dining, pools, a spa, and a health club. This property is one of our favorites in South Lake Tahoe.

The Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa, and Casino is a waterfront hotel on the Nevada side of the lake with stunning views, waterfront dining, water sports and activities, and a full casino. A great destination for any month of the year, the Hyatt is full of amenities and experiences to keep you busy (or relaxed) on your trip!

An award-winning hotel in South Lake Tahoe, Hotel Azure is a great affordable option with spacious rooms and a central pool. Only a 5-minute drive to Heavenly Ski Resort, and a short walk to the shores of the lake. Hotel Azure is a great option if you’re looking to save.

Inspired by the classic alpine lodges found throughout Tahoe in the early days, the Postmarc Hotel and Spa Suites is a romantic getaway sitting just three miles from Heavenly Ski Area.
